Recipe for hot Milo/Sustagen Drink

Hi everyone.

I thought i would start sharing simple recipes as to what i eat and drink. If this is something you would like to see more of, just let me know.

To start off i thought i'd mention that i always make my hot drinks on the stove.
I do this because you're going to get more nutrition from hot milk, than you are from a boiled kettle of water + cold milk.

Recently i have been playing around by adding different things to my hot Milo to fortify it further.
Well, the other night my hot Milo tasted so good to me and had a nice texture to it. Still a smooth one at that.
I have been making my hot Milo the same way since so thought i would share.
By the way i find it filling too which is a plus as nutritional supplements should have this affect on us.

Ingredients
- 5 heaped teaspoons of Milo
- 3 teaspoons dutch chocolate Sustagen powder
- 2 teaspoons white sugar
- 2 teaspoons full cream milk-powder
- 1 teaspoon chocolate topping
- 1 tablespoon vanilla ice-cream
-250ml of full cream milk

Method

- Add all ingredients into a small pot -> Whether you put the milk in first or last doesn't make any difference.
- Turn the stove on to the lowest heat
- Set a timer for 5 mins
- Continuously but slowly stir the mixture.
-At 5 mins everything should be dissolved properly, give or take a little. -> If steam starts to come up at any point then your fortified Milo drink is definitely ready.

That's all there is to it.

For those with dysphagia (swallowing disorder) check with your doctor/swallowing specialist before trying anything i share, if you plan on doing so.
I hope some things i do share will be safe for you to try.

I tend to have this drink in the morning especially as i find it the easiest thing to get down and it makes me feel stronger.

If you have any questions or have any diet tips for those with dysphagia, i'd be more than happy to hear from you.

Thank you for joining me.

Love and light
- Karly. xo
